Overview

The Brain Tooley Racing pushrod set is a set of 16 one-piece pushrods. They are constructed from SAE 4130 chromoly tubing and feature a .080" wall thickness. The pushrods have a 7.825" length and a 3/8" diameter with ball ends machined to a tolerance of +/- .001in. They also have a black oxide finish and are laser-etched with specifications.

The Brain Tooley Racing (BTR) Chromoly One-Piece Pushrod Set offers a durable and precise valvetrain component for performance engine builds. The construction features a .080" wall thickness, providing rigidity while maintaining a relatively light weight. These pushrods are precision-formed and centerless ground to exacting tolerances, ensuring consistent performance. The ball ends are machined to a tight tolerance of plus or minus .001 inches, critical for proper valve train geometry and function. A case hardening process increases their durability to Rc 60, and they are finished with a black oxide coating for corrosion resistance. The specifications and part number are laser-etched onto each pushrod for easy identification. It is crucial to measure for the correct pushrod length using the recommended method, as detailed in the BTR/Trend Pushrod Measurement Guide, rather than relying solely on overall length. This ensures optimal valve train geometry and prevents potential damage or performance loss. The pushrods are compatible with guideplates, and their design makes them legal for sale and use in all 50 states.
