The Alpine iLX-W650 is a 7-inch digital multimedia receiver designed for modern connectivity and space-saving installation. Its ultra-shallow chassis, measuring just 2-13/16 inches deep, makes it suitable for a wide variety of vehicles, especially those with limited dashboard depth. This receiver offers robust smartphone integration, fully supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Users can access navigation, music, and communication apps through intuitive voice commands, including Siri Eyes Free and Google Assistant. Its 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display features a unique two-finger swipe interface for controlling volume, track skipping, and other functions without needing to precisely locate specific buttons. It also boasts a built-in amplifier delivering 16 watts RMS/40 peak x 4 channels, compliant with CTA-2006 standards. Expandability is a key aspect of the iLX-W650, with two camera inputs for rearview and other camera systems, and three 4-volt pre-outs for connecting aftermarket amplifiers, speakers, and subwoofers. It is also SiriusXM-Ready, requiring a separate SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner Kit and subscription. For enhanced audio performance, it can be paired with Alpine’s KTA-450 Power Pack Amplifier (sold separately) in a unique PowerStack configuration, combining the two units for a compact, high-output system that fits behind a standard 2-DIN chassis. The unit is compatible with most factory steering wheel audio controls, though an adapter may be required.
