It is a high-performance differential component intended for upgrading or building custom street rods, muscle cars, or trucks. The assembly offers extensive customization options, allowing users to select the ideal components for their specific needs. Key configurable features include gear case material (Pro Nodular Iron or HD-Pro Aluminum Thru-Bolt Case), pinion support (Nodular Iron Daytona Big Bearing or Lightweight Aluminum Daytona Big Bearing), and differential type (Helical Gear Limited-Slip Differentials like Currie TwinTrac, Truetrac, Wavetrac; ARB Air Locker; Detroit Locker; or Spool). A wide selection of Motive Gear Performance® series gear ratios and various nodular/billet Chromoly pinion yokes are also available. All Currie 9-inch third members are professionally assembled in-house, featuring new gear cases, Timken or Koyo bearings, seals, solid pinion bearing spacers, and Daytona pinion supports. The assembly is shipped in a heavy-duty plastic storage box. Severe-duty 85w-140 non-synthetic gear oil with an API GL-5 rating is required.
