Overview

The GSC Power-Division Mivec S2 Camshafts are performance camshafts designed for the 2006 Mitsubishi Evo 9. These camshafts offer increased horsepower and torque while retaining low-end drivability, even with larger turbochargers. They are engineered to support 400-700 WHP.

Featuring a 274° intake and exhaust duration with a peak lift of 11.20mm intake and 11.00mm exhaust, these cams are built on a billet core. They require upgraded valve springs and machining for installation.

The GSC Power-Division billet 7009S2 camshaft set is engineered for the Mitsubishi Evolution 9 MIVEC, targeting performance builds in the 400-700 WHP range. These camshafts are constructed from billet material in the USA, ensuring durability and high-performance capability. The S2 profile maintains low-end power comparable to stock cams even with larger turbos, while delivering significant gains of 50-70 WHP over factory specifications. Designed for aggressive use, these cams support a rev range of 4000-9000 RPMs for 2.0L engines or 3000-8000 RPMs for 2.2L+ stroker motors. While they can be run on the factory ECU with custom flashing, it's recommended to use upgraded beehive valve springs for optimal performance and reliability, though they can also operate at the stock rev limit and boost pressure on stock springs. Installation considerations include potential aftermarket cam gear compatibility; some aftermarket gears may require a 40mm underhead length bolt if the OEM bolt is too short. Professional installation by an SAE-certified mechanic or skilled high-performance engine builder is advised. These camshafts are intended for off-road use only.
