The Alto 700R4 4L60E Transmission 3-4 PowerPack is a high-performance clutch kit designed to significantly upgrade the 3-4 clutch pack in GM 700R4, 4L60, 4L60E, 4L65E, and 4L70E automatic transmissions. This PowerPack enables an increase in the number of friction plates from the standard 5-6 to 8-9, depending on your transmission's specific stack-up, thereby increasing torque capacity and durability. This kit features Alto's renowned Red Eagle friction material, known for its high energy and durability, coupled with special steel plates. It also includes ten heavy-duty return springs, a 0.125-inch thick backing plate, and a 0.062-inch snap ring, along with instructions for successful installation. This PowerPack is engineered to fit transmissions from 1982 through 2014. For optimal performance, Alto Products Corp. recommends setting the 3-4 clutch pack clearance between .025” and .040”.
