The Powerflex rear subframe bushing set serves as a full replacement for the factory rear subframe bushings, utilizing a durable 70A durometer polyurethane material. By replacing the compliant OEM rubber, these bushings reduce subframe deflection under load, leading to improved handling precision and cornering stability. This PFR5-422x2 kit is a direct-fit replacement designed for specific BMW 1 Series (E8X) and 3 Series (E9X) chassis configurations. Please note that this "Street" version is not compatible with BMW M cars, including the 1M and E9X M3; the Performance (PFF5-422P) series is recommended for those specific high-performance applications. For users seeking a different installation approach, note that PFR5-422 is a full replacement bush; for inserts that fit into the OE housing, Powerflex offers the PFR5-421 part instead.
