Description

The GSpeed carbon fiber wing kit is engineered to provide enhanced aerodynamic performance for the Chevrolet Corvette C6 models from 2005 to 2013. This wing features a full carbon fiber construction, measuring 72 inches in width with a 14-inch cord depth, designed to generate significant downforce. A key feature is the removable Gurney flap, allowing users to tune downforce levels for different track conditions. For short tracks where maximum downforce is crucial, the Gurney flap can be installed. Conversely, for longer tracks where reducing top-end drag is more beneficial, it can be removed. The wing utilizes a direct chassis mount system, ensuring that downforce is effectively transferred to the chassis rather than being lost on the hatch or trunk lid. This mounting method enhances aerodynamic efficiency and stability. The uprights are precisely laser-cut from 1/4-inch aluminum plate, providing a robust yet lightweight support structure. Installation of this wing kit requires modifications to the vehicle's fascia and trunk, specifically notching these components. This is necessary to allow the wing to be positioned correctly over the rear of the car, meeting sanctioning body regulations for competition use.
