Overview

The EMPI 72-Plate Oil Cooler is designed for maximum cooling with durable stacked-plate construction. It is made from aircraft-grade aluminum with flux-less oven brazed components. This oil cooler features a cross-path airflow design that efficiently cools oil through multiple channels. It offers twice the cooling capacity in half the size with an insignificant pressure drop. The unit is painted black for faster heat dissipation and includes 1/2” (NPT) female pipe thread fittings.

The EMPI 72-Plate Oil Cooler is engineered to provide maximum cooling efficiency and near-bulletproof durability, making it an excellent addition to any air-cooled engine. Its stacked-plate design, crafted from aircraft-grade aluminum, utilizes flux-less oven brazing for superior construction integrity. The innovative cross-path airflow design actively cools the oil as it passes through as many as 16 channels formed by sturdy embossed plates. This cooler offers significant advantages, boasting twice the cooling capacity while being half the size of traditional units, all with an insignificant pressure drop. Finished in black for rapid heat dissipation, this oil cooler is equipped with 1/2” (NPT) female pipe thread fittings, ensuring straightforward integration into your existing system. When connecting fittings, 1/2” (NPT) male pipe thread fittings are required. For optimal performance and longevity, the use of Mounting Dampers is recommended. The product is legal for use on pre-pollution controlled vehicles only.
