722.9 Transmission Performance Clutch Kit

The BlackBoost USA 722.9 Transmission Performance Package is engineered to provide a significant upgrade for the 7-speed 722.9 transmission found in AMG vehicle platforms. This kit includes all the necessary clutch elements for a rebuild or performance enhancement. The clutch compound has been meticulously developed and tested on both street and track applications, aiming to strike a balance between high performance and daily drivability. BlackBoost has validated these components on their own high-performance setups, with some successfully handling over 1450 Nm of torque, even on all-wheel-drive configurations. To fully leverage these torque capabilities, a TCU (transmission control unit) software calibration is essential to modify limiters and increase clutch pressure. Installation of any transmission components is best performed by a professional transmission technician. Please note that this package does not include essential OEM seals, gaskets, transmission filters, or the necessary oil for installation. It is also strongly recommended to flush the transmission oil cooling lines and radiator/heat exchanger prior to installation. Furthermore, ensuring TCU adaptation values are perfectly in range is critical to prevent clutch slippage and potential transmission damage. This calibration should be performed by transmission specialists or certified mechanics using a Xentry diagnostic tool.
