The K-Tuned 72mm Drive By Wire Throttle Body is engineered as a direct bolt-on upgrade for select Honda Civic Si, Honda S2000, Acura ILX, and Acura TSX models. This throttle body boasts a true 72mm bore, offering a significant increase in airflow compared to stock units, measuring 44% larger than the 2006-11 Civic Si stock throttle body and 9% larger than the ZDX/J37. Constructed with a machined 72mm bore and a brass butterfly, this unit utilizes an OEM connector for an integrated look, eliminating the need for a jumper harness. For added versatility, two 1/8NPT vacuum ports are located on the bottom, suitable for evap, brake booster, or vacuum reference connections. A thermal gasket, mounting bolts, and two 1/8NPT plugs are included. Proper installation and function of this throttle body necessitate the use of an engine management system, specifically requiring Flashpro for calibration to manage the increased airflow. The inlet is designed to accommodate a 3" silicone coupler, and users may need to adjust their intake piping accordingly. The included thermal gasket helps to minimize heat transfer between the cylinder head and the throttle body, promoting cooler intake air temperatures.
