73mm Throttle Body

The BBK 73mm throttle body is a reconditioned performance upgrade engineered to enhance horsepower and throttle response for specific Ford vehicles. It features a larger 73mm throttle bore compared to stock, aiming to deliver an easy 8-12 horsepower gain. Constructed from durable CNC-machined aluminum, this throttle body is built for longevity and precise fitment. It incorporates new injection-molded plastic gear assemblies and motor suitable for modern drive-by-wire systems. The unit is designed as a direct bolt-on, simplifying installation, and is compatible with both OEM and aftermarket air intakes and manifolds. This throttle body also comes with new electronics. This BBK throttle body is CARB approved for specific applications: EO Number D-245-17 for 2011-2014 Ford Mustang V6 3.7L models, and D-245-22 for 2011-2014 Ford F150 and 2015-2018 Ford F150 models. While BBK engineers designed these electronic throttle bodies to function with a factory tune in most cases, a tune is sometimes recommended depending on other modifications and ECM sensitivity to optimize performance. It is noted that a tune can improve overall performance and compatibility with aftermarket addons.
