The Racingline Performance Subframe Torque Link Mount (VWR15G503) is engineered to enhance the driving dynamics of performance vehicles by minimizing unwanted drivetrain flex. Standard rubber mounts are often too compliant for higher power outputs or aggressive driving, leading to a loose feeling, potential wheel hop, and in extreme cases, damage to components like exhaust manifolds and driveshafts. This mount addresses these issues by providing a much stiffer location for the engine and gearbox assembly. Constructed with a high-specification 75A durometer urethane, this mount offers a significant upgrade over stock. While it introduces a more connected feel and a slight increase in drivetrain noise within the cabin, most performance-oriented drivers find this a desirable trade-off for improved car dynamics. The urethane material is chosen to filter out excessive vibration while maintaining its structural integrity under load. Racingline recommends the lower engine mount as a standalone upgrade for most road cars, which provides a substantial improvement in driving feel with minimal impact on cabin refinement. For track-focused or heavily modified vehicles, upgrading all three engine mounts is advised for maximum control and durability. This specific part is compatible with transverse engines including 3.2 V6, 2.0TFSI, 2.0TSI, and 2.5TFSI variants, commonly found in models like the Golf, Scirocco, Jetta, and Audi A3/S3 (8P platform).
