The Royal Purple 06300 Max Gear Oil is an ultra-tough, high-performance automotive hypoid gear oil formulated to deliver maximum protection for heavily loaded gears and maximize power throughout the drivetrain. It achieves this by combining the highest quality synthetic oils with Royal Purple's proprietary Synerlec additive technology. This advanced formulation ensures that gears run smoother, quieter, cooler, and last significantly longer, reducing the need for overhauls. Specifically designed for automotive and truck applications, Max Gear oil is recommended for use in front or rear differentials, manual transmissions, and lower gear units of marine engines that specify API GL-5 or GL-4 fluid. It is non-corrosive to soft yellow metals such as brass, bronze, and copper, and is safe for synchronizers. The reduction in drivetrain drag is a notable benefit for trucks and 4-wheel drive vehicles. This gear oil comes pre-formulated with a friction modifier, eliminating the need for additional additives.
