Overview

The HPA Motorsports 1.8T & 2.0T Downpipe is a 76mm diameter exhaust component designed for Audi B8/B8.5 A4, Allroad, A5, and 8R Q5 models. It features a 100-cell high-flow catalytic converter and is constructed from T304L stainless steel.

The fabrication assembly is precision TIG welded with Argon back purging and includes a CNC-formed hanger and laser-cut flanges for secure mounting. It also features an interlocking flex coupling to manage high exhaust gas temperatures and a reducer to allow for OEM cat-back fitment. The downpipe maintains factory O2 sensor placement.

The HPA Motorsports 1.8T & 2.0T Downpipe is a performance-oriented exhaust component designed to replace the restrictive factory downpipe on various Audi models. The OEM downpipe's smaller diameter, catalytic converter, and varying angles contribute to increased back pressure and force the turbo to work harder, generating excessive heat. This HPA downpipe addresses these limitations by increasing the diameter to 76mm and removing the factory catalytic converter, promoting improved exhaust flow and reduced back pressure directly off the turbo. Constructed from durable T304L stainless steel with a .063 wall thickness, this downpipe features precision TIG welding with Argon back purging for both internal and external clean welds. It is proudly manufactured in Canada. The assembly includes a CNC-formed hanger and laser-cut flanges for a precise fit to the chassis, capable of withstanding high thermal conditions. This model includes a 100-cell high-flow catalytic converter and a reducer to ensure compatibility with the OEM cat-back exhaust system. Factory O2 sensor placement is retained, and the design offers substantial weight savings over the stock unit.
