76mm Stainless Steel Cat-Back Downpipe

The HPA Motorsports downpipe is a performance exhaust component constructed from .063 wall T304L stainless steel, featuring a 76mm diameter. It is precision TIG welded with Argon back purging for durability and a clean interior finish. The assembly includes a 100-cell high-flow catalytic converter, a reducer for compatibility with OEM cat-back systems, and a CNC-formed hanger with laser-cut flanges designed to withstand high thermal conditions. By removing the factory catalytic converter directly from the turbo, it significantly increases exhaust flow and reduces back pressure, allowing the turbo to operate more efficiently and reducing heat radiated into the engine head. This also enables the engine ECU to advance ignition and fueling maps more aggressively, as detonation is less of a concern. The design incorporates an interlocking low-profile flex joint for stability under high Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGT) and a stainless slip-fit AccuSeal Band clamp for a secure mid-pipe connection. Key features include full stainless steel construction, factory 02 sensor placement, a 3/8 CNC laser cut turbo flange, and substantial weight savings over the stock unit. The downpipe is designed and assembled in-house by HPA Motorsports and proudly manufactured in Canada. Vehicle Fitment: This downpipe is designed for FWD models of the Volkswagen Beetle (MK2, 2012-2013), Golf/GTI (MK5/MK6, 2007-2014), Jetta (MK5/MK6, 2006-2017), Jetta GLI (MK5, 2006; MK6, 2012-2013), Tiguan (MK5/MK6, 2009-2015), Passat (B6, 2005-2010), and Eos (2006-2015). It also fits the Audi A3 (8P, 2006-2013) FWD models. Note that the Audi S3 (8P, 2006-2013) is AWD only and not compatible with this FWD specific downpipe.
