The APR Cast Downpipe Exhaust System (DPK0014) is engineered to replace the restrictive factory cross-pipes and resonators. This upgraded system utilizes a 76mm stainless steel mandrel-bent construction, incorporating port-matched cast inlets and high-flow catalytic converters for improved exhaust flow. The system's design aims to enhance throttle response, increase horsepower, and deliver a more aggressive exhaust note during spirited driving, while remaining civilized for daily use. It is considered a premier performance upgrade for the 4.0 TFSI engine, especially when paired with an APR ECU upgrade. The downpipes are constructed from T304L stainless steel and feature TIG welded seams for durability and quality. With the purchase of this APR downpipe, a complimentary upgrade from Stage 1 to Stage 2 APR software is included. The system is designed to support up to 1000 horsepower without adverse effects and offers a cooler engine bay due to the relocated catalytic converters.
