8.0" Front Axle Assembly for 2002-2005 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 3.55 Ratio. Zumbrota Drivetrain Axle Assemblies are rebuilt to high-quality standards. Each assembly undergoes thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components (ring & pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers) are fully inspected and tested. All bearings & seals are replaced. Gears are inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque. Correct gear backlash is set for proper lubrication and quiet operation. Axle tubes are inspected for OEM straightness standards. Zumbrota uses an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure on internal and external parts, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning. Units are shipped in high-density plastic totes to help eliminate in-transit damage. All housings are tested for surface wear and cracks. 100% inspection of all internal parts and 100% replacement of bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims. All housings are cleaned utilizing a state-of-the-art hydro blasting and rinsing process to restore them to an OEM finish. Correct rolling torque is established using inch-pound measurements for precision setup and longevity.
