The Dahmer Powertrain Inc L49601VT is a remanufactured 8.1L 496 V8 engine long block designed as a replacement for select 2001 Chevrolet and GMC trucks and SUVs. This remanufactured engine is built with premium OE-quality components and features updated internal parts for a long service life. The process includes a full teardown, cleaning, inspection, and precision machining to OEM tolerances. The engine undergoes pressure and leak testing for sealing integrity and is SIM-tested to verify horsepower, torque, and smooth performance before shipping. Key specifications include an 8.1L (496 cubic inch) displacement, gasoline fuel type, aluminum cylinder heads, and flat-top pistons. The intake manifold is not included. The L49601VT fits the following 2001 Chevrolet and GMC vehicles: Chevrolet B7, C3500 HD, C6500 Kodiak, C7500 Kodiak, Express 3500, Silverado 2500 HD, Silverado 3500, Suburban 2500, GMC B7, C3500 HD, C6500 Topkick, C7500 Topkick, Savana 3500, Sierra 2500 HD, Sierra 3500, and Yukon XL 2500.
