Description

The Richmond Gear RSG84308C is a standard ring and pinion gear set engineered for 8.4-inch GM Corvette differentials. Produced in Italy, this gear set is a perfect choice for replacing OEM components, providing long service life for applications including street, street/track, and oval track vehicles. It can also be used in some drag race cars, depending on vehicle weight and power output. Machined from 8620 forged steel and heat-treated to maximize gear life, this matched ring and pinion set ensures reliable performance. The ring gear features an 8.32-inch outer diameter with 40 teeth and 10 bolt holes for 3/8-inch-24 RH threads. The pinion has a 30-spline shaft and 13 teeth. This gear set is specifically designed for applications from 1963-1979 within the 8.4 Corvette platform. It fits carriers with a 3.90 ratio or numerically lower. If tooth breakage occurs, it may indicate the need for a larger rear end.
