The Speeduino Dropbear V2 is a high-performance engine control unit (ECU) designed to offer advanced engine management capabilities. Powered by the fast 600Mhz Teensy 4.1 processor, this unit represents the latest iteration of the Dropbear series, incorporating significant upgrades for enhanced functionality and ease of use. Key enhancements in the V2 include integrated WiFi and Bluetooth LE for wireless connectivity, a modern USB-C port for communication, and numerous subtle improvements such as a larger RTC battery and easier board fitment compared to earlier versions. The Dropbear V2 comes fully assembled and is ready for wiring, with a set of loom connectors and pins included to facilitate installation. This ECU boasts a comprehensive feature set, including 8 high-impedance injector drivers, 8x 5v/12v coil pre-drivers for igniters or smart coils, and 6 medium current (2A) outputs. It also provides 7 analog inputs and 4 digital inputs, a CAN transceiver, onboard VR conditioner, and an internal MAP sensor with the option to use an external one. A barometer sensor is also integrated, and an optional stepper motor driver (using a standard DRV8825 board) can be added. For data logging, it includes SD card support.
