Description

The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1831H is a remanufactured axle assembly engineered for the Ford 8.8-inch ring gear, featuring a 3.73 gear ratio. This unit is built to fit 2001-2002 Ford Explorer 4-door Sport Trac models, specifically those without Posi Traction. It's important to note that this assembly does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts, requiring these components to be sourced separately. Zumbrota Drivetrain emphasizes quality in their remanufacturing process. All tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM specifications, and housings undergo testing for surface wear and cracks. Internal components, including ring and pinion gears, clutch, and carrier, are 100% inspected. Bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are all replaced. The housings are cleaned using a hydro blasting and rinsing process to restore them to an OEM finish, and correct rolling torque is established for precision setup and longevity.
