The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1492H-P is a remanufactured axle assembly engineered for precision and reliability. This unit is built around a Ford 8.8-inch ring gear with a 3.31 gear ratio and features a Posi Traction differential for enhanced performance. During the remanufacturing process, each axle assembly undergoes thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, are meticulously inspected and tested. Zumbrota replaces 100% of bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims to ensure optimal function. Gears are inspected for ideal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque, set using inch-pound measurements for precise setup and longevity, and proper gear backlash is set for lubrication and quiet operation. Axle tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM specifications. This specific assembly is configured without ABS and features a flat flange pinion yoke. The axle type is semi-floating, and it comes with a cover, though differential fluid is not included.
