8.8" REMAN AXLE ASSY 1998 FORD RANG

This is a remanufactured complete axle assembly from Zumbrota Drivetrain, designed for the 1998 Ford Ranger with a Ford 8.8" rear end. It features a 3.55 gear ratio and is equipped for 10" drum brakes. The assembly includes 28 spline axles and does not come with posi-traction. Hubs, brakes, backing plates, and axle shafts are not included. Each axle assembly undergoes thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including ring & pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, are fully inspected and tested. Bearings and seals are replaced, and gear backlash is precisely set for optimal tooth contact patterns and quiet operation. Axle tubes are inspected to meet OEM standards of straightness. Zumbrota utilizes an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting process, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning, to restore parts to an OEM finish.
