Zumbrota Drivetrain Axle Assemblies are rebuilt to high standards, with thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and wear. All internal components (ring & pinions, internal gears, clutches, carriers) are inspected and tested, and all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. Gears are inspected for optimal tooth contact and correct rolling torque. Correct gear backlash is set for proper lubrication and quiet operation. Axle tubes are inspected for OEM straightness. An exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary deep cleaning, is used. Units are shipped in high-density plastic totes to prevent damage.
