Overview

The AudioControl LC8i is an eight-channel line output converter designed to upgrade factory audio systems. It accepts high-level speaker inputs, up to 400 watts per channel, and converts them into clean pre-amp signals for aftermarket amplifiers or processors.

This device features an auxiliary input for additional audio sources like an iPod and includes a multi-function dash control for source selection, auxiliary volume, and subwoofer level adjustment. It also offers internal channel summing to provide a full-range pre-amp signal from factory systems.

The AudioControl LC8i is a highly flexible eight-channel signal processor that enables seamless integration of aftermarket audio components with your vehicle's factory stereo system. This allows for significant sound quality improvements while retaining the functionality of factory volume and steering wheel controls. Designed for maximum versatility, the LC8i includes an auxiliary input for easy connection of secondary source units such as iPods or satellite radio tuners. The included multi-function dash knob provides convenient control over source selection, auxiliary input volume, and subwoofer output levels, allowing for personalized audio adjustments on the fly. Leveraging AudioControl's proven OEM integration technology, the LC8i offers robust features like internal channel summing, which combines multiple input channels into a single, full-range pre-amp signal. It also includes a selectable GTO™ Signal-sensing Turn-on Circuit for automatic power activation when a speaker-level signal is detected. The unit's specifications include a broad frequency response of 10Hz-22kHz, low total harmonic distortion of 0.01%, and a maximum output level of 8.5Vrms, ensuring high-fidelity audio reproduction. The compact dimensions (8.6"W x 4.75"D x 1.2"H) facilitate installation in various locations.
