The Rockford Fosgate PM282 is an 8-inch, 2-way coaxial marine speaker system from the Punch series, engineered for robust performance in challenging marine environments. It features a 1-inch component-grade coated aluminum alloy tweeter, bridge-mounted for optimal sound dispersion, and an 8-inch injection molded mineral-filled polypropylene cone with UV inhibitors. These speakers are built to withstand the elements, boasting True Marine Grade compliance with UV-stable Centrex™ 814 injection molded plastic parts, a moisture, tear, and fatigue-resistant Aramid fiber spider, and a UV and Salt-Fog resistant TPE surround. The corrosion-resistant gold-plated polarized input terminals and stainless steel grille further enhance their marine durability. The integrated 12dB/octave sealed crossover ensures a clean signal. With a power handling of 100 watts RMS and 200 watts peak, and a sensitivity of 90dB, the PM282 delivers powerful sound. The frequency response ranges from 48Hz to 22kHz, providing a full audio spectrum. The mounting depth is 3.4 inches, and they come with stainless steel mounting hardware. This model is designed with Rockford Fosgate's Element Ready™ standard, meaning all components are protected against dust, UV, temperature, water, corrosion, and vibration. The speakers are CEA-2031 compliant, ensuring power handling meets industry standards. The removable trim ring/grille offers aesthetic flexibility, and the speakers are available in white with a sport grille.
