The Pioneer TS-A2000LD2 is an 8-inch shallow component dual voice coil subwoofer designed for car audio systems. This A-Series subwoofer boasts a robust construction with a glass-fiber and mica reinforced IMPP cone, a rubber surround, and an aramid-fiber dual-spider design for enhanced durability and performance. With a maximum music power of 700W and 250W RMS, the TS-A2000LD2 delivers powerful bass. Its frequency response ranges from 20 Hz to 1.4 kHz, offering a wide spectrum of low frequencies. The subwoofer has a sensitivity of 83 dB and a dual 2-ohm impedance, requiring careful consideration for amplifier matching. The shallow mounting depth of 67 mm (2.625 inches) and a cut-out diameter of 179 mm (approx. 7 inches) make it suitable for installations where space is limited. This subwoofer requires a recommended enclosure volume of 14.2 liters (0.5 cubic feet). For optimal performance, both voice coils of this Dual Voice Coil (DVC) speaker must be connected to the amplifier; never connect only one voice coil.
