8-Inch Front / 5-Inch Rear Lift Kit with FOX 2.5 Coil-overs and FOX 2.0 Shocks

The BDS Suspension BDS641F lift kit is engineered to maximize the capability of your 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 4WD diesel truck, providing an 8-inch front lift and a 5-inch rear lift. This comprehensive system incorporates proprietary FOX 2.5 Coil-over shocks, specifically designed for bolt-on performance, offering increased travel to absorb rough terrain while maintaining smooth on-road comfort. The kit aims to enhance stance, performance, and overall capability, providing clearance for up to 38-inch tires. Key components include a robust mounting system that attaches directly to factory coil mounts with minor trimming and drilling, along with weld-in reinforcements at the axle for superior strength. BDS has developed long lower control arms that reduce caster change throughout wheel travel, resulting in more controlled steering. This long arm design retains factory triangulation for added suspension stability. The front includes FOX 2.5 Coil-Over shocks, all four control arms, a mounting bracket, forged drop pitman arm, track bar bracket for steering correction, bump stops, and sway bar links. The rear setup features heavy-duty cast steel blocks, longer U-bolts, and a set of FOX 2.0 Performance shocks. Installation of this kit is rated as moderate and is estimated to take 8 hours, requiring tools such as a cutoff wheel or grinder, a sanding disc, a pitman arm puller, and a welder. Important notes for installation and fitment include measuring the rear axle tube before ordering, as some 4-inch axle models with dual overloads may require part number UBT4068. This kit is not compatible with dually applications. If driveline vibration occurs, a transfer case drop kit is recommended, with specific notes regarding OE bracket replacement. Additional front driveline modification may be necessary. Exhaust modification is required for the dual rear shock kit (122009). For 2500 Gas models, modifications to the front exhaust crossover pipe on the driver side are needed for clearance when installing a transfer case indexing ring kit. Furthermore, if the steering gear box has been changed and the sector shaft diameter measures between 1-1/2" and 1-5/8", part # BDS082404 must be added to the kit.
