8-Inch Lift Kit with NX2 Shocks

The BDS Suspension BDS134FS is a comprehensive 8-inch lift kit engineered to significantly enhance the stance, performance, and capability of 1977-1987 Chevy and GMC 3/4 ton trucks and SUVs, specifically the K20 and K25 models. This kit utilizes BDS's Glide-Ride leaf springs, featuring a multi-leaf progressive spring rate design. This construction provides a smooth ride regardless of load and offers increased wheel travel and flexibility. The front of the kit includes these Glide-Ride leaf springs, a 4-inch steering arm, a 3-inch steering block for correction, brake line brackets, sway bar drop brackets, and precision-tuned NX2 nitrogen-charged shocks. The rear incorporates Glide-Ride leaf springs, new u-bolts, and matching NX2 Nitro shocks. Installation of this kit is considered very difficult and is estimated to take approximately 8 hours. It requires specialized tools such as a ball joint separation tool and a cut-off tool. Several post-installation requirements and considerations are noted: aftermarket extended brake lines are mandatory, exhaust modification may be needed to clear the front driveshaft, and an emergency brake cable extension kit might be required. Additionally, both driveshafts may need to be lengthened. Owners should verify their factory rear leaf spring length, as this kit is not compatible with the 52-inch rear springs, only the 56-inch variant. If the vehicle is equipped with a factory front sway bar, a separate shackle link kit is necessary. Furthermore, if the truck came with factory front dual shocks, two additional auxiliary shocks must be purchased separately to replace them.
