The BDS Suspension FOX98224765 is a rear shock absorber engineered to elevate both on-road comfort and off-road capability for 1999-2016 Ford F-250/F-350 Super Duty vehicles. This Performance Series 2.0 IFP shock is meticulously designed to integrate seamlessly with BDS 8-inch lift suspension systems. At its core, the FOX Performance Series 2.0 IFP shock utilizes a mono-tube construction. This design incorporates an internal floating piston (IFP) which effectively isolates the shock oil from the high-pressure, nitrogen-charged gas chamber. This separation prevents oil aeration, ensuring consistent performance and a predictable ride, even under demanding off-road conditions. The shock's precision valving is factory-tuned by FOX and BDS in collaboration to perfectly complement BDS Suspension systems, transforming your truck into a more capable off-road machine with fade-free performance. The shock body is constructed from a 2-inch diameter, impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum. This material choice offers excellent strength, heat dissipation, and resistance to rust with its clear anodized finish. The shaft is a robust 5/8-inch hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel, designed for durability. It features a race-developed, high-flow piston for optimal performance. The shock is gas-charged and is not adjustable for damping or overall adjustment.
