The JL Audio CP108LG-W3v3 MicroSub™ subwoofer system is engineered to provide impressive bass output and low-frequency extension, outperforming expectations for its compact size. At its core is a precisely tuned 8W3v3-4 subwoofer driver housed in an efficient slot-ported enclosure. The enclosure's design emphasizes maximizing internal volume through extensive interior bracing, allowing for thinner wall construction. The unique slot-port design wraps around two walls of the enclosure, facilitating the necessary low tuning frequency for smooth, extended bass response. To further refine sound quality and minimize unwanted noise, the port features flared entries and exits, ensuring clean airflow. General specifications for this system include a continuous power handling of 250W RMS and a system nominal impedance of 4 Ω. The enclosure itself is a low-profile, slot-ported design finished in durable black carpet. A black steel mesh grille is included to protect the subwoofer driver.
