This allows them to offer a universal fit for most straight, 45°/135°, or 90° angled spark plug boots without the need for a restricting steel ring. Engineered to withstand extreme conditions, Titanium Protect-A-Boots XL can endure temperatures up to 1800°F (983°C) of direct heat. This is crucial for high-horsepower engines where excessive heat from exhaust manifolds and headers can degrade, harden, or crack spark plug boots and wires, leading to arching, engine misfires, and potential ignition system failure. They are also naturally resistant to chemicals, abrasions, and contaminants. Beyond their protective capabilities, these boots feature a carbon fiber appearance that enhances the underhood aesthetics, making them ideal for race, street, and show vehicles.
