It boasts an 8-inch (200mm) woofer within a durable ABS plastic enclosure, driven by a 140-watt RMS Class D amplifier. This amplifier is optimized for the subwoofer's characteristics, ensuring efficient operation, lower heat generation, and reduced current draw from the vehicle's electrical system. A key feature of the BassPro Micro is its dockable design. The subwoofer enclosure quickly detaches from the amplifier base using a quick-release bracket, providing valuable cargo space when needed. This system offers flexibility with both speaker-level and line-level inputs, ensuring compatibility with factory OEM and aftermarket car audio systems. It also includes four-channel high-level inputs for non-fading bass. Fine-tuning your bass experience is made easy with accessible controls. You can adjust input sensitivity, set the low-pass crossover frequency between 50-120 Hz, apply bass boost up to +9 dB at 65 Hz, and utilize a phase switch for optimal alignment with your main speakers. The system also features an automatic audio sense circuit to turn the amplifier on when an audio signal is detected, with an option to disable this for remote turn-on wire use. For an even more dramatic bass impact, two BassPro Micros can be daisy-chained together using standard 3.5mm interconnects. Installation requires a 10-gauge amp wiring kit, which is sold separately.
