8-Piston 356mm Big Brake Kit

This kit is designed as a direct replacement for OEM components, requiring no modifications for installation. Key to the kit's performance are the 8-piston calipers, precision-machined from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum. This 1-piece construction ensures a lightweight yet incredibly strong and corrosion-free caliper body. The calipers utilize aluminum pistons, which offer superior heat resistance, lighter weight compared to steel, and are less prone to corrosion. The opposed-piston design works to greatly improve pad grip and minimize uneven pad wear, contributing to consistent braking performance. The braking system is further enhanced by 356mm (14-inch) 2-piece rotors, constructed with a cast iron braking surface and an aluminum center hat. This 2-piece design reduces rotational mass, leading to quicker braking response and shorter stopping distances. The aluminum center also allows for more freedom in expansion and contraction, significantly reducing the chance of rotor warping. The rotors are slotted and vented to help dissipate heat effectively. For an improved pedal feel and response, the kit includes stainless steel brake lines that prevent expansion under high temperatures and pressures. Reinforced carbon steel caliper brackets are also included, allowing the larger-than-OEM calipers to bolt directly onto the existing mounting points. The kit comes with street-performance brake pads, and requires a minimum wheel diameter of 457mm (18 inches). This kit is specifically designed for the 2003-2007 Mitsubishi Evolution 8 and 9 models.
