Designed as a sophisticated bolt-on solution, this kit bypasses the need for any vehicle modifications for installation, ensuring a straightforward integration. It builds upon the performance of lesser kits by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, coupled with an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors for optimal self-centering within the caliper. Central to the kit's design are its lightweight forged one-piece calipers, meticulously crafted from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum. This construction method ensures uniform thickness and robust strength throughout the caliper, while the aluminum pistons offer superior heat resistance and reliable operation. Complementing the calipers are CNC-machined carbon steel brackets that facilitate a direct bolt-on fit to the vehicle's OEM caliper bracket locations. The included floating two-piece rotor design allows the outer section to shift slightly, improving self-centering, reducing brake drag, and enhancing overall braking performance through more even pad application. This Supercomp kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, formulated from NAOC Ceramic material. These pads provide optimal braking performance for street use and occasional track days, significantly reducing brake dust (by 50% or more compared to race pads), noise, and rotor wear. The pads are designed for optimal operation between 194°F and 1022°F. Additionally, D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are included, which eliminate line expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors, with slotted recommended for track use and cross-drilled for daily driven vehicles due to their superior cooling properties. Calipers are available in standard painted colors like Orange, Red, Black, and Yellow, with options for premium high-polish finishes and over 20,000 custom color possibilities.
