8-Piston 400mm x 36mm Big Brake Kit

This kit integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and ensure continuous cooling and refreshing of the brake pad surface during use. The SuperComp caliper is forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, featuring a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than their ProComp line. It includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates for enhanced durability. The opposed piston caliper design improves pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM systems, and stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Each caliper requires four brake pads due to its size. The 2-piece floating disc assembly reduces both rotating and unsprung weight, while also preventing thermal stresses from warping the disc. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are advised for track use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are designed for optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions with operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F. These pads offer reduced brake dust and noise compared to race pads. An optional upgrade to Ksport RC5 Race Pads, made of carbon metallic, is available for extreme track conditions, though they are not recommended for street use due to their higher optimal operating temperature range (482°F – 1472°F). It fits the BMW 1 Series E82/E88 models from 2008-2013, including the 128i (N52 3.0L) and 135i (N54 3.0L and N55 3.0L) submodels.
