The Ksport BKMD040-846SO Supercomp Big Brake Kit is engineered to deliver exceptional stopping power through a bolt-on upgrade that typically requires no vehicle modifications. This kit features a full-floating, two-piece rotor design as standard, making it suitable for drivers demanding maximum braking performance on both street and track applications. The floating two-piece rotor technology allows the outer rotor section to self-center in the caliper, reducing brake drag and promoting even pad application. This design also eliminates thermal stress distortion, preventing rotor warping. Furthermore, the two-piece assembly significantly reduces rotating and unsprung weight compared to OEM rotors. The calipers are constructed from lightweight, one-piece forged aircraft-grade billet aluminum (6061-T6) and are CNC machined for precision. They feature a differential bore, opposed-piston configuration for improved pad wear and rigidity. The kit includes aluminum pistons for heat resistance and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. Included are SC5 NAOC Ceramic Street Pads, designed for optimal braking in a wide temperature range and engineered to reduce brake dust, noise, and rotor wear. The kit also features D.O.T.-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which resist expansion under pressure for a firmer pedal feel. The package contains 8-piston Supercomp calipers, 14-inch floating two-piece slotted brake discs, SC5 ceramic pads, CNC machined caliper brackets, braided brake lines, and all required hardware.
