The kit features robust 8-piston calipers, precision-machined from a single billet of aircraft-grade aluminum. This construction provides exceptional strength, lightweight performance, and resistance to corrosion. The calipers are equipped with aluminum pistons, which offer superior heat resistance compared to standard materials, ensuring uncompromised operation even under extreme thermal loads. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM setups. CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets ensure a direct bolt-on installation to the OEM caliper bracket location. The kit also includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which eliminate expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Included are Ksport's SC5 Street Pads, formulated with NAOC Ceramic for optimal braking performance in street and occasional track conditions. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust and noise compared to race pads, with an optimal operating temperature range between 194°F and 1022°F. The Procomp Big Brake Kit is compatible with Scion iQ models from 2011-2014. It is built to order, with production and delivery typically taking 4-6 weeks. If fitment issues arise, Fitment Industries states that if their sales team recommended an incompatible setup, they will work with the customer to make things right, potentially waiving restocking or return shipping costs.
