This advanced braking system utilizes cutting-edge technology to significantly reduce brake fade and ensure continuous cooling and refreshing of the brake pad surface during operation. The SuperComp caliper is a standout feature, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum with a differential bore configuration and larger pistons than ProComp calipers. It weighs just over 7 lbs and includes protection grooves, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines improve pedal feel and response. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This design also mitigates thermal stresses, preventing disc warping and cupping. The rotors feature a unique slot design for reduced noise and faster expulsion of gas and pad debris, and are heat-treated and balanced for peak performance. Buyers can choose between cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily drivers, or slotted rotors, suited for track use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are NAOC ceramic pads designed for optimal street and occasional track performance with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F – 1022°F. They offer a significant reduction in brake dust and noise. Optional Ksport RC5 Race Pads, made from carbon metallic material, are available for extreme track conditions with an optimal operating temperature of 482°F – 1472°F, but are not recommended for street use.
