Each caliper is constructed from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, eliminating weak spots that can lead to fracturing or warping. The two-piece design allows the rotor's outer section to expand and contract independently, greatly reducing the chance of warping due to heat buildup. Center sections made from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum reduce rotational mass for quicker brake response and act as heat sinks. Slotted rotors are recommended for vehicles that see more track use, as they help wipe away heat, dust, and gases. Included standard with this kit are SC5 Street Pads, which offer optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, reducing dust and noise. For those requiring maximum stopping power under extreme track conditions, an upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available. The kit also features D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines.
