Each caliper is crafted from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, offering a lightweight yet incredibly strong and corrosion-free construction. The 8-piston, opposed-piston caliper design ensures excellent pad grip and reduces uneven wear. Aluminum caliper pistons further contribute to heat resistance and reduce weight. The kit includes reinforced carbon steel caliper brackets that allow the larger-than-OEM calipers to bolt directly onto existing mounting points without modifications. The 2-piece rotors, measuring 330mm (13 inches) in diameter, feature a vented and slotted design with an aluminum center hat. This construction reduces rotational mass, leading to quicker braking response and shorter stopping distances. The 2-piece design also allows for more free expansion and contraction of the outer iron section, greatly reducing the chance of rotor warpage. Heavy-duty caliper seals are incorporated for reliable operation during demanding, high-temperature track use. Stainless steel brake lines are included to prevent expansion under high temperatures and pressures, ensuring faster pedal response. The kit utilizes street pads with a low-dust ceramic compound. This big brake kit requires a minimum wheel diameter of 17 inches (432mm) and comes with street-compound brake pads. It is designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for the 2015-2018 Subaru WRX STI models, requiring no modifications for installation.
