This kit integrates new design elements that continually refresh the brake pad surface during braking. The SuperComp caliper is constructed from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, weighing just over 7 lbs each, and features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. It includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Each SuperComp caliper requires four brake pads due to its size. The kit includes 2-piece floating disc assemblies designed to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating disc construction prevents thermal stresses from warping the disc or cupping the braking surface. The rotors feature a unique slot design to minimize braking noise and expel gases and debris efficiently. Standard options include cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily driven vehicles due to their cooler running temperatures compared to slotted rotors, which are better suited for track use. Ksport offers the choice between SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal street and occasional track performance with reduced dust and noise, and RC5 Race Pads, made from carbon metallic material for extreme track conditions.
