This sophisticated bolt-on upgrade features larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads compared to the ProComp series, with an extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper that weighs just over 7 lbs. each. The caliper is machined from aircraft-quality billet and boasts a differential bore configuration with larger pistons. Construction details include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM components, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. The kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which minimizes rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design also combats thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping of the braking surface. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for maximum performance. Ksport notes that cross-drilled rotors run cooler and are recommended for daily drivers, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. However, it is important to note that these kits fit 2WD vehicles only, unless otherwise stated. Compatibility is confirmed for the Scion FR-S (2013-2018) and Toyota 86 (2017-2018).
