This kit expands upon the benefits of Ksport's Procomp line, incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, alongside an increased number of pistons. The standard full-floating rotor design enhances caliper self-centering, leading to reduced brake drag and more consistent braking force. Each caliper is meticulously crafted from a single billet of aerospace-quality, aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength, lightness, and resistance to corrosion. This one-piece construction provides uniform thickness and robust support. The kit includes SC5 Street Pads, formulated for optimal performance under both street driving and occasional track use, offering a significant reduction in brake dust and noise compared to dedicated race pads, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. Further enhancing performance and customization, the Supercomp kit features D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines. These lines prevent expansion under pressure, resulting in a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to standard rubber lines. For rotor selection, customers can choose between Slotted or Cross-Drilled designs. Cross-Drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles due to their superior cooling capabilities, while Slotted rotors are better suited for vehicles experiencing more track time. Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order and require an estimated production and delivery time of 4-6 weeks.
