The ZF automatic transmission service kit is designed for the 8-speed automatic transmissions found in various BMW models, including GA8HP45, GA8HP51, and GA8HP70 variants. This kit serves as an OEM replacement for BMW part numbers 24118612901 and 24115A13115, ensuring a precise fit and function. This comprehensive service kit includes the essential components for a transmission fluid and filter change: a new composite plastic oil pan with an integrated filter, a new gasket, a drain plug, a fill plug, and a set of one-time-use pan bolts. ZF's service recommendation for the 8HP transmission is 8 years/80,000KM (50,000 miles) or whichever comes first, superseding BMW's "lifetime" fluid recommendations. Fitment requires careful attention to specific model years and production dates. For instance, G20 M340i models are only compatible if produced before 7/2020, while G12 740i/ix models are restricted to 2020-2022 production. Certain models, such as the G06 X6 40i and G07 X7 40i, are explicitly not compatible with cars featuring an "Energy Recovery System."
