The 3M Company 27638 is a Cubitron II 982C Series coated fiber disc.

This disc features 3M precision shaped grain, which maintains super sharp points to cut exceptionally fast with less pressure. It generates up to twice the cut rate, durability, and life of other fiber discs, reducing operator fatigue and increasing throughput. The triangular shaped ceramic grain wears evenly, runs cool, and optimizes mineral breakdown for a longer life, completing more parts per disc and requiring fewer changes. The stiff fiber backing and strong resin bond provide durability and tear-resistance for heavyweight applications like high-pressure weld grinding and beveling.
