The KILMAT 80 mil sound deadening mat is a self-adhesive material designed for automotive insulation and noise reduction. It is made of butyl and foil and features a sticky backing for easy DIY installation. The 80 mil thickness is noted for its efficiency in providing sound insulation and reducing resonance.

This material has a special embossing on the foil that serves as an indicator for correct installation. When this embossing is rolled out until it is smooth, it confirms the soundproofing has been set properly. The sheets are sized for convenience in cutting and installation.
