800 FA20F DIT Long Block Engine Package

The IAG Performance 800 FA20F DIT Long Block is a meticulously hand-built engine package engineered for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX, designed to be a complete, valve-cover-to-valve-cover, timed crate engine for a simplified installation. This long block leverages IAG's established expertise in Subaru performance, combining their robust IAG 800 FA20F (DIT) Short Block with their performance-enhanced cylinder head package. It is specifically designed for modified vehicles aiming to support up to 800 BHP. The foundation of the IAG 800 Long Block is the short block assembly, which starts with new Subaru FA 2.0L engine case halves. These are expertly machined for enhanced oiling and then integrated with IAG Closed Deck Inserts to create a solid deck design, significantly increasing strength and supporting higher cylinder pressures. The case halves are also CNC machined to accept 1/2" head studs, crucial for preventing head gasket failure under high boost. The block is precision bored and honed to 86.1mm using a Sunnen SV-30 cylinder hone for tight piston-to-wall clearances, resulting in a quieter engine. Internally, it features a new 2020 Subaru 2.0L WRX crankshaft, ACL or King main bearings, IAG-Spec H-Beam connecting rods with ARP2000 rod bolts, and King or ACL rod bearings. Forged IAG-Spec 86.1mm pistons, designed for boosted applications with an asymmetrical skirt design for reduced weight and improved combustion, complete the short block. The IAG 800 FA20F DIT Cylinder Head package begins with new OEM Subaru castings. These heads are equipped with Kelford "A" camshafts and new OEM cam towers, rockers, and other valvetrain components. The castings undergo a "pocket port" process on a 5-axis CNC machine to enlarge and blend the area under the valves, ensuring consistent performance gains. The heads are also drilled to accommodate larger 1/2" or 14mm head studs. To prevent common failures, OEM press-fit freeze plugs are replaced with tapped and threaded plugs. GSC Manganese-Bronze valve guides, shaped to improve airflow, are installed and diamond-honed. This long block comes pre-timed with all new timing components installed, addressing the complexity of the FA20F timing system and reducing the risk of installation errors that could lead to engine damage. This allows for a true plug-and-play solution, with mechanics needing only to swap over manifolds, sensors, injectors, and external accessories. Most installations can be completed within a single day. All components are brand new, and no core charge is required.
