8000-Series Hydraulic Release Bearing

The Tilton 8000-Series hydraulic release bearing is engineered to provide a direct-acting solution, eliminating the lost motion typically associated with cable stretch or linkage flex. This direct engagement ensures a more responsive clutch feel. Featuring a 44mm contact diameter, this bearing is designed for specific racing clutches, including most QuarterMaster 4.5", 5.5", and 7.25" racing clutches (excluding the 7.25" LGC model), as well as Tilton OT-II (7.25") racing clutches. Its low-profile design offers a setup height adjustable from 1.82" to 1.87" (with a 0.05" shim adjustment), making it adaptable to various installations. Most applications will require the fabrication of an adapter plate for proper integration. With a maximum travel of 0.70 inches, a clutch pedal stop is essential to prevent damage to the clutch and engine components. Tilton recommends pairing this release bearing with a 3/4" bore master cylinder, which is sold separately. Replacement bearings and rebuild kits are also available. The bearing utilizes a radius-faced design and is compatible with clutches featuring a 1 5/8" diameter diaphragm spring hole. It is ideal for applications utilizing 8.5" – 11.0" button clutch kits.
