ZZPerformance introduces the 82# Ecotec Valve Springs with Titanium Retainers, a product aimed at making car modification more affordable and reliable. These valve springs are engineered to work with all Ecotec 2.0, 2.2, and 2.4 liter engines. The springs offer robust performance specifications, including a .500" coil bind, 82# of seat pressure, and 200# of pressure at .420" lift, ensuring proper valve control under demanding conditions. The kit includes lightweight titanium retainers, contributing to reduced valvetrain mass. A specific fitment note should be observed: as of 2023, GM updated Ecotec rocker designs (New PN: 12693909) which may increase the valve stem side height. This modification can potentially cause interference with the titanium retainers. Users installing these new rockers are advised to verify fitment before final assembly and may need to grind down the rockers.
